Picture books have proven to be an invaluable learning tool for helping children learn about themselves, others, and the world around them. Recently, there has been international effort to ensure disability and inclusion are represented in that learning.

Join the SRV Leadership team as we take a deep dive into selected children’s picture books and use our knowledge of Social Role Valorization to explore the representation of people with disability, the messages that are communicated, and how we might use children’s literature as a means of fostering interpersonal identification and shaping positive mindsets at a young age.
