Richard J. Thorne, Esq. is a Settlement Attorney and founding member of Settlement Matters, LLC. He began his career as a mortgage loan officer with a local mortgage company. In 2003, Rick transitioned from originating mortgage loans to the settlement side of real estate transactions, later founding Settlement Matters in 2010.
Rick has been a member of the Keystone Human Services International Board for 3 years. He believes Keystone delivers the valuable resources to support people with disability to gain confidence and live full lives within the community. For Rick, “Keystone has improved the lives of many young men and women and I am glad to be a small part of this effort.”
Rick received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland, Smith School of Business, in 2000. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2007, graduating cum laude. Rick also coached his daughter’s hockey team to Nationals in 2021 and 2022.
